回想童年,
在操場抱膝坐上體育課;
在家裡與家人擠在下格床睡覺;
在飯廳收拾作業才能好好吃飯……
長大後,
在車箱內擠成沙甸魚去上班;
在餐廳與陌生人「搭檯」併桌;
看著街上每天朝行晚拆的排檔,
似乎也沒什麼大不了了。
出國後才明白,
能夠在狹小的空間生活,原來都是一種能力。
這就是我成長、生活的小小城市——香港!

In a Small Small City; In a Small Small Home
Thinking back to childhood—
sitting on the playground, knees hugged to my chest during PE class;
crammed together with family on the bottom bunk at night;
clearing away homework from the dining table just to have a proper meal…
Growing up—
packed like sardines in train carriages on the way to work;
sharing tables with strangers at restaurants;
watching street stalls pop up every morning and vanish by nightfall—
and thinking, well, it’s nothing out of the ordinary.
It wasn’t until I went abroad that I realised:
being able to live in cramped, crowded spaces is actually a skill.
This is my small, small city—Hong Kong!
