During the pandemic in 2021, Che-ting often recalled fond memories of exploring the city with her foreign friends. Seeing familiar places through their eyes always revealed fresh perspectives and hidden details. Inspired by these recollections, she continued her On My Way to Make Zine series and created “Welcome to Hong Kong, My Friends” capturing these shared Hong Kong memories through illustrations and words.
5th Anniversary New Edition
Five years later, reflecting the changes in both the city and her artistic style, Che-ting decided to completely redraw its for 5th anniversary edition.
While the original edition preserved a precious moment in time, the new edition brings us closer to the city as it is today. Feel free to spot the differences between the two, and trace how both the city and the artist have grown together.
